24in. black powder blued octagonal barrel rifled with twelve grooves and signed 'JOHN RIGBY & CO., DUBLIN & LONDON' on the matt sighting flat, bead fore-sight, rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves graduated to 150 yards and each with platinum-inlaid centre-line, scroll engraved breech and action, the latter signed 'J. RIGBY & CO.' on the left side, hammer with removable pin, 14 1/8in. well-figured walnut stock with chequered grip and fore-end, dark horn fore-end cap, weight 4lb. 11oz.
