with 9in. slightly curved unsigned blade of late 18th century origin, copper 'habaki', copper oval 'tsuba' with gilt , reed-edged 'dai-seppa', unusual un-bound wood 'tsuka' with central copper mount and dome headed copper peg, TOGETHER WITH its textured laquered 'saya' and a signed 'kogai' decorated with a gilded crayfish (blade re-polished, small losses to laquer, missing it's 'koi-guchi kanagu' and 'kurikata')
