recent, the first with 2 3/4in. exposed barrel, sighted slide with adjustable rear-sight, double action trigger mechanism, chequered white plastic grips, the whole pistol fully covered with engraved, bordered panels of oak-leaves on a stippled ground and thickly silver-plated (some flaking at muzzle), the second identical to the first except gold-plated with polished muzzle TOGETHER WITH their custom fitted wood coffer (some minor damage to corners), the pistols contained in a removable tray lined in green baize in the continental fashion with provision for magazines, two in gold-plate and two in silver-plate beneath, (included), the outer sides of the coffer in corniced double ogee style and resting on four bun feet, the whole ensemble appearing to have seen little use
