29 3/4in. Krupp-steel nitro chopperlump barrels, rib engraved 'F. BEESLEY. 2 ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON. PALL MALL CORNER' and gold-inlaid '3', the tubes engraved 'KRUPPS SPECIAL GUN BARREL STEEL', and with fine scroll detailing at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 and full choke, carved leaf fences, toplever gold-inlaid '3', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, best bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/2in. well-figured stock including 1 3/4in. wooden extension, weight 7lb. 3oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed July 1901 with 29 3/4in. barrels for W.H. Allen. It has remained with the family since completion.
