24in. nitro chopperlump barrels with finely matted sight rib, gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, open sights and folding leaf sight with gold-inlaid sighting details and marked for 50 and 100 yards, finely matted ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with fold-over protector / moonsight, concave rib gold-inlaid '.375 H&H MAGNUM FLANGED', the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. BRUTON STREET. LONDON.', the breech end mounted with a Schmidt & Bender 1.1 - 4x24 Zenith telescopic sight in quickly-detachable mounts engraved 'Holland & Holland' and with the serial number, side-clipped treble-grip action with hidden third bite, side bolsters, removable striker discs, toplever gold-inlaid '1', elongated top strap with manual safety, gold-inlaid 'CHECK' detail, hand-detachable lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, gold-washed internals, chequered articulated front trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, the action, furniture and lockplates engraved with best bold Royal scroll engraving, the fences with stylised leaf motifs, the underside with a cartouche engraved 'THE "ROYAL" MODEL', the lockplates gold-inlaid with the makers name in an oval cartouche, the triggerguard tang gold-inlaid with the serial number, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and finish,15in. very highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, palm swell, engraved and colour-hardened steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels and finely engraved and colour-hardened skeletal steel buttplate, engraved and colour-hardened steel fore-end finial gold-inlaid '1', the fore-end iron gold-inlaid 'ENG. Provenance: This rifle was completed in 2009 for the vendor and has undertaken only two safaris to Africa. It is accompanied by a copy of its regulation target sheets showing excellent group characteristics.
