for 1906, with octagonal 24 1/4in. blued barrel marked 'MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN, USA PATENTED OCTOBER 14 1884', dove-tailed folding gold-washed ring fore-sight, elevating ladder 'Africa' rear-sight with six additional folding leaves, plain blued receiver, the top-tang marked 'MODEL 1892 WINCHESTER TRADE MARK', walnut straight-hand butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, seldom encountered double set-triggers, plain walnut fore-end with iron nose-cap, full-length under-barrel magazine and provision for the Winchester sling (studs removed), the whole retaining much original finish.
