PATENTED OCTOBER 14 1884', block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, plain receiver with saddle-ring to left hand side, top-tang marked 'MODEL 92 WINCHESTER TRADE MARK REG US PAT OFF & FGN', walnut straight-hand butt-stock with iron 'carbine' heel-plate, special short walnut fore-end with iron barrel-band, full-length under-barrel magazine and further barrel-band at muzzle, traces of original finish throughout
