A 10.6mm (COMMISSION) SIX-SHOT SERVICE REVOLVER, MODEL '1883', serial no. 2076,
German, dated for 1893, round 4 5/8in. barrel with octagonal stepped breech-section, blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the rear of the top-strap, 'church window' fluted cylinder, solid blued frame with side mounted safety-catch, spurred hammer, single action trigger, smooth walnut bag-shaped grips (one with small chip at head), lanyard ring to heel and no provision for ejector, the whole retaining a good amount of original finish
