dated for 1863, re-sleeved with browned 33in. round barrel, recessed muzzle, tunnel micro-adjustable foresight, elevating ladder rear-sight and vernier diopter peep-sight fitted to brass plate on tang, border lined flat lock plate signed 'ENFIELD 1863', together with a 'VR' crown cypher, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture, chequered at the wrist and fore-grip, three iron barrel bands and nose cap, iron ramrod, expertly re-finished throughout
