25 5/8in. unsighted fluted octagonal .300 Pegasus barrel (serial number 23156.2) threaded for detachable muzzle break (present), the breech end carved with scrolling acanthus and mounted with a Swarovski 6-24x50 Habicht telescopic sight in acanthus scroll engraved quickly-detachable mounts, individual unchequered schnabel fore-end;
Jaeger patent 'verticalblockverschluss' action with sprung breech face, top tang with sprung safety / cocking lever, set triggers, profusely engraved with bold scrolling acanthus, the underlever gold-inlaid with a monogram, bright finish overall, 14 1/4in. very highly-figured stock with unchequered sculpted birdshead pistolgrip, hogsback comb, sling eyes, including 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, weight 8lb. (7mm STW barrel) and 8lb. 5oz. (.300 Pegasus barrel), in an alloy flight case; together with a suede leather leg of mutton case and reloading dies for both calibres
