dated for 1882, with 28in. round barrel, applied matted top-rib, engraved 'HENRY'S PATENT RIFLING', and 'RIFLE FOR No2 CASE', dove-tailed fore-sight, five folding leaf express rear sight with additional ladder, the action scroll engraved, nickel-plated and signed 'MANUFACTURED BY WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO, LONDON & BIRMINGHAM' on the left and 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT' on the right, the blued underlever and plated block retaining with engraving, walnut semi-pistolgrip stock with white metal oval escutcheon inlet to right hand side, steel buttplate with trap (retaining contents), sling eyes, detachable bolstered fore-end with ramrod finial, under-barrel rib with further thimble, missing clearing rod, the whole lightly worn with losses to finish
