24 3/8in. sleeved nitro barrels (converted from .360 2 1/4in. calibre), file cut sight rib with open sights, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the breech end mounted with a Zeiss Varipoint VM 1,1-4x24 T* telescopic sight, serial no. 2507327, in quickly-detachable mounts, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, removable striker discs, manual bolted safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, elongated top strap, hand-detachable lockplates, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, chequered front trigger, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the underside with ovate detail 'CHARGE 30 GRAINS CORDITE. BULLET 300 GRAINS. .360 CASE 2 1/4 INCHES', brushed bright finish overall, 14 3/8in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels and basketweave horn buttplate, weight 7lb. 8oz. (unscoped) and 8lb. 13oz. (with scope), in its brass-cornered oak and leather case with internal protector flap, the lid exterior embossed 'MARQUIS CAMDEN. BAYHAM ABBEY. KENT' (no provision for the telescopic sight)
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed as a .360 bore in November 1909 for a 'Camden'
