circa 1870, 25 3/4in. turned two stage nitro reproved lined barrel (in 1987, from an earlier 28-bore conversion from original .450 calibre), engraved 'ALEXR. HENRY 12 SOUTH ST. ANDREW ST. EDINBURGH PATENT 1451 AND 340', block-mounted open sights with two folding leaf sights with white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 100, 200 and 300 yards, with folding tangent sight marked from 4-10, block-mounted bead fore-sight, action engraved with action use number 'PATENT No. 340', left-side non-rebounding cranked back-action lock with bolted dolphin hammer, action and furniture with bold acanthus scroll engraving with some ornate bordering, brushed finish, 14 1/4in. figured pistolgrip stock (chequering refreshed) with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, chequered steel buttplate (with trap), sling eyes, bolstered fore-end with Henry fore-end tip and best quality key seat, weight 7lb. 8oz.
