* A SCARCE 17x28mmR (RIMFIRE) DANISH M1848/65 SERVICE RIFLE, serial no. 1774, with bayonet,
dated for 1852, with in the white 33 1/2in. barrel, boat shaped fore-sight integral with the front twin-banded nose-cap, rear-sight with sliding tangent blade, lozenge flip-open breech of Snider style with push-button locking and large drum-headed firing-pin, the top of breech with pressure vent, plain bevel-edged lock of flint form marked with a small crown device above 'MD-1848' over '1852-1774', flat nosed hammer with chequered spur, beech full-stock with large patchbox furnished with finger and thumb cut-outs for opening on the right side, iron furniture except brass sideplate and trigger guard bow, two further broad barrel-bands and jag-ended under-barrel clearing rod, most parts visibly marked with a matching number and furnished with its correct pattern socket bayonet marked '1852-1664' on the ricasso and '4JC.2C.68' on the socket, no scabbard
