bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1783, with banded London proved turn-off rifled 1in. cannon barrels, border and foliate engraved squared actions, the left sides signed 'BLAIR & LEA' within a floral bordered oval panel, central ring-necked cocks within tang-mounted sliding safes, slab-sided semi birdshead grips profusely inlaid with wire scrolls, hallmarked grip-caps and concealed automatic triggers, in a competently produced walnut casing lined and compartmented in olive baize and together with a small powder flask and a scissors ball mould
