POND, WORCESTER MASS. PAT'D JULY 10 1860', the left hand side additionally marked 'MANUF'D FOR SMITH & WESSON PAT'D APRIL 3 1855', tip-up two piece iron frame hinged at rear of top-strap, push button release to left hand lower frame, plain cylinder, colour hardened hammer and smooth flared walnut grips
