circa 1870, with tapering 18 3/4in. barrel section, detachable nose-cap (lacking captive ramrod), tap action breech for ball, key-way and concealed button trigger, diminutive open sights, the inner micro-rifled brass barrel insert removing to expose the smoothbore shot barrel, cranked air-reservoir with walking-stick handle, 36 3/4in. overall assembled, strong amount of original brown enamel paint remaining
