circa 1874, with 3 3/8in. barrel group, the false rib on the left hand side signed 'MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y.', the right 'ELLIOT'S PATENTS MAY 29 1860 - OCT 1 1861', release latch below barrel group, open hinged frame with concealed striker, flared grip with smooth moulded gutta-percha inserts and ring trigger, fair traces of original blued finish remaining in sheltered areas
