A 54-BORE PERCUSSION KERR-PATENT REVOLVER SIGNED ORBEA HERMANOS, EIBAR, serial no. S-3228, with a vintage holster,
the revolver being a licenced Spanish copy circa 1862 from the Spanish Navy contract, with blued 5 3/4in. semi-octagonal barrel, pillar fore-sight, the plain top-strap with notch rear-sight to top of standing breech and stamped with an anchor device within an oval bisecting the letters 'A.O.', plain five-shot cylinder, two-piece frame construction, chequered walnut grip (worn) and stamped with the number '258' with a further 'A.O.' anchor mark to the left side head and with back-action lock inlet to the right hand side marked 'R.C.' within an oval bisected with an anchor, side hammer, lanyard ring at heel, single action trigger and hinged under-barrel loading lever marked with a small anchor stamp within an oval, strong traces of finish and colour and together with a slightly later full-flap leather holster of British military style
