A GOOD CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION LONDON ARMOURY KERR-PATENT REVOLVER RETAILED BY S. EBRALL, SHREWSBURY, serial no. 11311,
circa 1855, with blued 5 3/4in. octagonal barrel marked 'L.A.C.' and with London proofs, pillar fore-sight, shallow notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed 'SAM'L EBRALL, GUNMAKER, SHREWSBURY', blued frame with plain five-shot cylinder, colour-hardened curved lockplate signed 'LONDON ARMOURY', colour-hardened side-hammer, chequered one-piece walnut grip with blued butt-cap and lanyard ring to base, blued trigger-guard bow with colour hardened trigger, blued hinged loading lever under the barrel, the whole in a fine state of preservation with loss of blue only to sharp edges and generally appearing little used, together with a period oak case (probably original to the gun), compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a number of accessories including a Hawksley bag shaped powder flask, nipple key-turn-screw & oiler combination tool, mahogany cleaning rod and a brass double cavity Adams Patent bullet mould, along with lubricated bullets, caps and a nickel oil bottle, a facsimile instruction label inside lid
