late first model circa 1927, with blued 7 1/8in. barrel (cap-screw from hinge absent), stirrup barrel latch, adjustable rear-sight, blued stepped air-chamber with internal flush-fitting spring guide, five lines of patents to the left side of nose with maker's details behind, six lines of patents to the right side of nose with model details further back, blued frame with four-pin trigger unit and trigger adjustment without locking screw, hard rubber chequered grips embossed 'W.S.' at head, strong amount of original finish remaining
