for 1928, 27in. nitro barrels (No.1 reproved in 1982), ribs engraved 'WILLIAM EVANS, 63, PALL MALL. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON.' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, No.2 right bore dimension marginal and wall thickness at 18, treble-grip actions with removable striker discs, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fine acanthus scroll engraving with beaded bordering, retaining much colour-hardening and finish, 14 3/8in. stocks (stained at butts from a boot), weight 6lb. 1oz. (No.1) and 6lb. (No.2)
