A .36 PERCUSSION COLT 1851 NAVY REVOLVER, serial no. 135412, with period holster of Confederate style,
the revolver manufactured in 1863, with octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'ADDRESS COL. SAML. COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', bead fore-sight, matching number barrel wedge, open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT' (rubbed), six-shot cylinder with traces of roll engraved scene, single action mechanism, brass grip-straps with traces of plating in sheltered areas, smooth flared walnut grip (worn, period losses at toe and head on left side) and articulated under-barrel rammer, iron surfaces darkly stained with some pitting throughout, in a period leather full-flap belt holster in the Confederate style with tooled borders and leather sliding tab closure (some crazing and stitching loss)
