made by North America Firearms Company, Philadelphia circa 1867, with slide forwards barrel (cleaned of finish) marked on the left side 'WILLIAMSON'S PAT OCT 2 1866 NEW YORK' and engraved American with an arrow to the sighting plane, nickel fore-sight, scroll engraved brass frame, walnut full-stock with chequered birdshead butt, guarded trigger with engraved bow and finial, complete with a possible period percussion converter, action sticky
