A PAIR OF 16-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 2046 / 7,
for 1930, 26 5/8in. nitro barrels, matt Churchill-ribs with banners engraved 'LINSLEY BROTHERS MAKERS LEEDS' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, treble-grip actions with hidden third bites, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving with central floral bouquets, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 3/4in. figured stocks, slightly cast on for the left shoulder, including 7/8in. recoil pads, fore-ends slightly loose, weight 5lb. 13oz., in their leather motor case


Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed the guns were completed in 1930 and sold on the 18th July of that year to a client in Leeds for £42.00 each

Other Notes: The lot is supplied with some historical invoices for a former owner, listing previous restoration and repair work undertaken by Clive C. Lemon
