circa 1875, with blued round 27in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, Snider trademark to nocksform, 'A.S' mark within a field of scrolls to flip-open breech, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action lock (traces of colour), engraved hammer, chequered walnut half-stock, engraved brass furniture with strong traces of silver plating, horn fore-end tip and under-rib with brass tipped ramrod and retaining a bayonet-lug at muzzle
