dated '1860', with 39in. blued barrel (bore excellent) engraved 'WHITWORTH PATENT' and retained by two blued barrel-bands and one barrel-key, no bayonet bar, rear-sight calibrated to 1,100 yards, blued tang, case-hardened lock signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. / 1860', walnut full-stock, brass heel-plate and trigger-guard, iron sling mounts, iron ramrod, the whole retaining much original finish throughout, Birmingham proof marks, in a wooden transit case, probably original (catches and handle replaced).
