26in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1957) with broad rib, scroll-engraved at the breech end and gold-inlaid '1', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke;
26in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1957) with broad rib, scroll-engraved at the breech end and gold-inlaid '2', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke;
scroll-back treble-grip action incorporating patent 3952 of 1899, use number 1322 and J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use number 1576, Westley Richards improved patent toplever, patent no. 1572 of 14th June 1871, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, hinged floorplate, Westley Richards 1901 patent selective 'one trigger', triggerplate with gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, acanthus scroll engraving, the triggerguard with a running hare, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 1/8in. well-figured stock including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, Deeley & Edge patent fore-end release catch, weight 6lb. 6oz., in a relined leather case with Westley Richards trade label and provision for both sets of barrels.
The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed in 1908 (copy of authentification certificate in case)
