late 18th century, with 23 3/4in. blade (some cleaning and edge-nicks), prominent 'hamon', copper 'habaki', four lobed iron 'tsuba' with small gilded detail of seeds, grass and pine-cones, single 'mekugi-ana', in a black laquered 'saya'
