CASTLE STREET REGENT CIRCUS LONDON' (likely refreshed), 2 7/8in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 choke in both, W. & M. Scott and T. Baker patent treble-grip barrel-cocking hammerless action, patent no. 761 of 1878, use number 633, the flats marked with UK patent details and also 'USA pat. May 6 . 79' and 'USA pat. Dec 3 - 78', W. & C. Scott patent toplever spindle, W.& C. Scott patent automatic block safety, Scott patent crystal cocking-indicators, patent no. 3223 of 1875, Needham & Hinton patent intercepting sears, patent no. 706 of 1879, the toplever engraved with scrollwork and 'W. & C. SCOTT & SON PATENT', the lockplates with 'PATENT CRYSTAL INDICATOR', the left side of the action bar with 'W. & C. SCOTT & SON PATENT BLOCK SAFETY HAMMERLESS', border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/2in. semi-pistolgrip stock including horn buttplate, fore-end with W.M. Scott patent release lever, patent no. 615 of 1876, weight 9lb. 8oz.
