A 12-BORE ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 3935,
circa 1860 and converted from pinfire, 30in. black powder only reproved damascus barrels (in 1977), rib re-engraved 'J. BLANCH & SON. 29. GRACECHURCH STREET. LONDON.', pinfire apertures plugged and with starbursts at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, left wall at 16 some pits to the right, rotary-underlever with lever return stud, carved percussion fences, non-rebounding back-action locks with replacement hammers, bold acanthus scroll engraving, 14 1/2in. figured stock with engraved steel heel and toe plates, the heel plate of circular form, weight 6lb. 4oz.
