A RARE PRUSSIAN MODEL 1849 ARTILLERY FASCHINENMESSERN SHORT SWORD, circa 1850s, with 18 1/2 in. single-edged blade, ricasso marked 'S & K g', all-brass hilt with double-quillioned cross-guard heavily stamped with unit details and inspection marks, the grip diagonally ribbed to one side only, heavily worn, blade heavily pitted with edge chips and bends, grip dented to the front and pommel flattened front and back, no scabbard
