A GOOD CASED 60-BORE PERCUSSION WEBLEY LONGSPUR REVOLVER, serial no. 1420,
third model circa 1865, with blued octagonal 4 3/4in. barrel (much original finish remaining), engraved band at muzzle, the top-flat signed 'WEBLEY & SON BIRMINGHAM', borderline and scroll engraved silver-plated open frame with wingnut barrel mount, five-shot cylinder rotating to the right and with scroll engraved detail, single action mechanism with re-coloured and engraved hammer sides, permanently attached Kerr-style rammer mounted to left side of barrel, the full-length back-strap engraved 'BY HER MAJESTY'S ROYAL LETTERS PATENT' surmounted by the serial number, chequered walnut grips and engraved butt-cap with central eyelet for lanyard, small oval trigger guard, well refinished throughout except where noted, Birmingham proof marks, in its original fitted mahogany case lined in green baize with accessories including brass 60-bore bullet mould marked 'WD', brass-mounted copper pistol-flask, tins for caps and lubricating compound, turn-screw and nipple key, oil bottle and mahogany loading rod, the lid with exterior with shaped brass escutcheon, complete with key
