circa 1900, with blued octagonal 33 1/2in. barrel, the underside concealed by the fore-end signed 'H&H', dove-tailed fore-sight with side-protectors, adjustable rear-sight on a moulded dove-tail and marked 'SYSTEM WIDMER', colour hardened action of Martini style with dropping feed-ramp, chequered walnut butt-stock with carved and moulded semi Tyrolean cheek-piece, Swiss style iron heel-plate, colour hardened complex trigger guard forming the under-lever and with integral palm-rest, double set triggers and fitted with a leather basketweave sling
