circa 1904, 24in. cordite proof barrels (Cordite 80 gr Ball 480gr maxm) with wave cut rib, open sights and two folding leaf sights marked '1', '2' and '3', ramped bead fore-sight, the tubes later engraved 'W. J. JEFFERY & CO. 13 KING ST. ST JAMES ST. LONDON SW' (sic), treble-grip action, carved percussion fences, rebounding back action locks engraved with 'W.J. JEFFERY & CO.', plain polished finish (patination remaining), triggerguard tang numbered 15340, 15 1/8in. pistolgrip stock (extensive repairs at wrist) with steel pistolgrip-cap, sling eyes and including 1in. recoil pad, fore-end iron with signs of work and shrinkage to wood, weight 11lb. 14oz.
