MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL', (refreshed), 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 and full choke, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, rounded bar, removable striker discs, fences deeply carved in relief with floral and scroll motifs and the Green Man, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, arrow cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, the action, lockplates and furniture profusely engraved with bold acanthus on a matt background, the lockplates with the makers name gold-inlaid in gothic script, brushed and re-blued finish overall, 15 1/4in. cast-off replacement stock including 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 15oz
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed January 1917 with 30in. barrels for a 'Pardo'.
