27in. nitro barrels with no top-rib, short sight flat carved in high relief with foliferous designs, side-ribs, bead fore-sight, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and true cyl. choke;
hold-open toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, rounded bar action, pinless lockplates with gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, non-selective single trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard,the action, lockplates and furniture deeply carved in high relief with baroque arabesques and beading, on a finely matted background, the fore-end decorated en suite, the lockplates carved with a flushed covey of bobwhite quail on the left and a brace of ruffed grouse on the right, the underside carved with a vignette of jinking woodcock, the triggerguard with a further woodcock in flight, the triggerplate signed 'S. J. KELLY', silver finish overall, 15 1/8in. highly-figured stock, weight 6lb. 3oz. (29in.) and 6lb. 1oz. (27in.), in its lightweight leather motorcase with provision for both sets of barrels and with canvas and leather outer, the case lid with engraved silver trade label
