Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this pair of shotguns were completed September 1934 as 'best quality hammerless ejectors' with 28in. barrels and sporting their current stock dimensions for G.H. Russell, Esq.

The pair were more recently the property of Ian Ogilvie-Grant, 13th Earl of Seafield. It is a title in the Peerage of Scotland and may be traced back to 1616 when Sir Walter Ogilvy, himself a descendant of the Earls of Airlie, was created Lord Ogilvy of Deskford. The pair have seen service on many of our finest shoots and are being put to market by Seafield's son, The Hon. Alexander Ogilvie-Grant.
