circa 1860, with blued 6in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the border and scroll engraved top-strap signed 'B. Cogswell, 224 STRAND, LONDON', borderline and scroll engraved frame with pull-button cylinder arbor release, hook-safety, polished plain cylinder with engraved rope-band to front edge, spurred hammer, chequered walnut grip and engraved iron butt-cap, good proportion of original finish remaining TOGETHER WITH a period mahogany storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize, renewed parchment trade label to inner lid and complete with a number of period accessories including a Tranter's patent mould and a James Dixon flask plus some reproduction tools
