LONDON.' and '.375 H&H MAGNUM RIMLESS', block-mounted open sights and folding leaf sight, marked for 50/200 and 350 yards, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with folding protector, the receiver (with thumb cutout) side-mounted with a Zeiss Diavari-C 3...9x36 telescopic sight, serial no. 1815600, in quickly-detachable mounts, the rear ring engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. NO. 3812', receiver ring with bold acanthus engraving and a matted top, side safety, hollow bolt knob, floral engraved recoil blocks, hinged straddle floorplate with push button release fully engraved with acanthus scrollwork and with a scrolling banner engraved 'MODEL DE LUXE', the hinge with '4 CARTRIDGES', highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, monte carlo comb, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels, 13 5/8in. pull including 5/8in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 9lb. 7oz. (unscoped) and 10lb. 11oz. (with scope), in its full length leather case with some accessories and canvas outer cover
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this rifle was completed in June 1974 for Willard D. Nyborg of Alaska, as a b/q .375 magnum magazine rifle, model de luxe, mauser action with additional side safe.
