28in. reblued octagonal barrel with matt top flat, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with three folding leafs marked for 100, 200 and 300 yards, breech-end engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND ST. LONDON.' and '.295 BORE.', H.W. Holland patent lever-cocking action, patent no. 1294 of 17th March 1882, carved teardrop fences, manual sidelever safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and partial acanthus scroll engraving, bright and re-blued finish, 14 1/4in. pistolgrip stock with steel buttplate and pistolgrip cap, Hackett-type snap-on splinter fore-end with horn finial, weight 5lb. 13oz.
