MAITLAND, MAKER, ELGIN', dove-tailed white-metal bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with four additional flush folding leaves, each with platinum line, borderline engraved breech-block with engraved false plugs, borderline engraved top-tang (traces of colour), border engraved bar-action locks signed 'A.F. MAITLAND' (traces of colour), chequered walnut half-stock, iron patchbox, iron furniture including chequered pistol-spur to lower tang and original heavy duty brass mounted ramrod, overall length 46 3/4in., weight approximately 11lbs.
