for 1889, 28in. sleeved nitro barrels (in 1993), the rib re-engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS 314 1/2, OXFORD STREET, LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action island locks, fine acanthus scroll engraving, brushed finish overall, 15 1/8in. well-figured stock, weight 6lb. 8oz.
