Product Details
A CASED SCARCE .22 ANSCHUTZ MODEL 335 BREAK-BARREL SPORTING AIR-RIFLE, serial no. 81598,
circa 1978, with blued 18 3/4in. barrel, tunnel fore-sight, micro adjustable rear-sight, manual breech-catch, blued air-chamber dove-tailed for a telescopic sight and with provision for an arrestor system, beech half-stock with rubber heel-plate and chequered pistol-grip, the whole in collector's external condition, fitted with a Tasco 4x32 telescopic sight and in an abs plastic transit case with foam lining
Provenance: Despite dominating the .22 rimfire prestige end of the market, Anschutz always struggled against the likes of Weihrauch, Original and Feinwerkbau with sporting airguns. The Model 335 was a quality piece; very accurate and with a trigger that rivalled the 'Record' unit fitted to the majority of Weihrauch models. Sadly however, the market seemed solely driven by power in the late 1970's to the late 90's and the 335 was found lacking in this area in comparison to its rivals
