dated 1944, 25 1/4in. nitro reproved barrel, block and blade fore-sight with side protectors, folding Singer N67 aperture rear sight (battle sight ground off), blued receiver fitted with screwed on threaded pads, side-mounted no. 32 MKI telescopic sight, marked 'TEL SIGHTING NO.32 MKI. OS.466A. 1943. No7967', the mount stamped '37231', rings stamped '25' and '26' at their bases, with a metal tin, the lid exterior marked 'OS. 906A. CASE, STG. TEL. No.8. B&CO.', (re-painted green), with sighting tool and reproduction leather lens cover marked 'BHG 1944', manual safety, lightweight bolt, receiver marked 'T. No.4 MKI.' on the left side, the butt stock collar marked 'M47C. 1944. 37231. TR. 45.', detachable box magazine (with one spare), three-quarter length stock, fore-stock with four-groove top-cover, applied raised cheekpiece, butt marked '15617' at the wrist and 'S51' to the underside, leather sling, 13in. pull including alloy buttplate with central trapdoor, weight 9lb. 11oz. (unscoped) and 11lb. 7oz. (scoped), in a transit chest with canvas slip inside, the outside stencilled 'Chest SA No.15 MKI. BA10000. Tel. Sgt. MKI.'
