circa 1855, with 29 3/4in. browned octagonal damascus barrel, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, rear-sight of one standing notch with three additional folding blades, solid borderline engraved frame, applied flash-guard to left side of standing breech, plain five-shot cylinder with rope-twist bordered leading edge, fully guarded hammer, chequered walnut straight hand stock, iron shotgun heel-plate with long top-spur, square-fronted trigger guard bow with integral raised tang-piece, Tranter's patent double trigger mechanism, the left side of barrel fitted with Tranter's patent rammer (third model) and equipped with eyelets for a sling
