A .577/.450 MARTINI-HENRY MARK IV PATTERN B SERVICE RIFLE SIGNED ENFIELD, no visible serial number,
dated 1886, with 32 1/2in. sighted barrel with proof, ownership and inspection marks, left side under rear sight stamped 'NEP. NS' (for Nepal Native Service), right side of receiver with crown over 'V. R. / ENFIELD / 1886 / lock-viewer's mark / I.V. / 1.', full stock, right side of butt with many readable markings including Enfield roundel, Alallabad Arsenal Indian Army roundel, date of '10 / 1908' and Nepalese unit markings, fittings have many WD, Broad Arrow and Enfield inspection marks (front barrel band stamped with an Enfield-Martini 'E-M' noted), Nepalese script on trigger-guard, complete with clearing rod and reproduction sling, some filled chipping where the butt joins the receiver
