for 1906, No.1 with 30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, No.2 with 29in. nitro barrels (likely reproved, post 1925 proof marks over traces of earlier marks), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, the ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, the tubes later engraved 'STEPHEN GRANT & SONS 7, BURY STREET, ST. JAMES'S, LONDON.', removable striker discs, fluted fences, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, triggers slightly turned for the left hand, fine acanthus scroll engraving, 14 3/8in. well-figured (historic replacement) semi-pistolgrip stocks, crack to left overhorn No.2, cast on for the right, slight sweeps to the left sides, weight 6lb. 7oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 6oz. (No.2), in a leather case
