circa 1903, 30in. nitro barrels, the rib gold-inlaid '1' surrounded by scrolling acanthus at the breech end, the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98, NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and imp. cyl. choke, right wall at 19 and scattered pits, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Holland & Holland semi-selective single trigger, best bold Royal scroll engraving, the underside with an ornate cartouche engraved 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR' and an oval cartouche engraved 'PATENT SINGLE TRIGGER', retaining slight traces of colour-hardening, 14 3/8in. figured stock, slightly cast on for the left shoulder, including 1 1/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 7oz., in a brass-cornered oak and leather case with internal protecting flap
