A CASED 100-BORE PERCUSSION POCKET TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER SIGHED E. LONDON, LONDON, no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with octagonal 3 5/8in. barrel secured via a wedge and signed 'E. LONDON, 51 LONDON WALL, LONDON', engraved band and white metal bead at muzzle, plain six-shot cylinder, guarded nipples, central bar-hammer with sighting aperture, scroll engraved rounded frame, guarded trigger, finely chequered walnut grips, scroll engraved back-strap and domed pommel-cap with central trap, traces of finish and in a period oak casing relined in green baize for this pistol together with some period accessories, the lid escutcheon marked 'C.H.C. 1889'
